After being founded in 1983 as an international logistics subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, SGL came into being as “Sumisho Global Logistics Co., Ltd" in 2006 through the integration of Sumitomo Corporation's logistics subsidiaries.

Broadening Network
In order to contribute to its customers' forays into international markets and development of their overseas business, SGL is expanding its international logistics business in China, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America as well as its overseas warehousing business that realizes Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery to factory production lines, chemical logistics that require strict safety control, and other operations.
