Utilizing automated equipment for increased shipments
Automated Sharing Platform for Mail-Order Logistics
Company B has one of the world's largest product lineups, which is established as one of its business strategies. The company needed to manage large varieties of products in small lots.
Since those management operations were entrusted to us, we have implemented a variety of ideas that include introducing our original equipment and changing the storage configurations. However, there was a possibility that the existing scheme would reach its limits relative to Company B's ever-growing numbers of shipments and products handled.
Based on Company B's business strategy, SGL proposed the use of its automated sharing platform to Company B as a solution for the challenges posed by further increases in large varieties of products in small lots and the number of products handled.
Following consideration on Company B’s side as well, the decision was made to use our latest automation system.
This solution not only covers the uncertainty of future product varieties and numbers of products handled, but also improves efficiency and accuracy at the same time.
