Providing logistics support for major TV shopping channel
Mail-Order Logistics
Company A has continued to post increases in revenue and profit from the time of its founding to the present as a top runner in TV shopping. Its volume of goods sold has also increased steadily in proportion over time.
Additionally, Company A conducts a large-scale sales measure once a year. During the period of that measure, the volume of goods sold is as much as roughly triple the normal amount.
The company needed to establish a system to match its growth and accommodate the momentary increase in shipments. However, the introduction of that system posted cost-based challenges as well as significant challenges in feasibility with respect to the ability to handle maintenance and other factors.

Company A had been conducting operation using a SaaS-type WMS. However, it made the decision to use SGL’s independently-developed WMS.
In addition to improving the WMS to match business growth, we proposed the introduction of more effective material handling equipment, improvements to the operational flow and other elements. This resulted in a structure that allowed for continuous logistics updates.
Moreover, we establish a companywide support system during the period of implementation of the large-scale sales initiative conducted once a year.
Stable shipments were achieved by adjusting and consolidating labor from other SGL sites to match fluctuations in the volume of goods sold by Company A.
