Project Transport

Offering made-to-order transport based on our worldwide track record

We’re SGL.

Based on its track record in transport around the world, including ODA, SGL provides made-to-order transport services to meet the customer’s situation. These include the relocation of factory facilities, procurement management and transport of heavy cargo.

Arrangements for the transport of heavy cargo

SGL singlehandedly undertakes everything from preliminary onsite surveys, including route surveys, to packing and transport.
Because we conduct various modes of transport suited to the characteristics of cargoes, such as that which is heavy or long, we have various means of transport at our disposal, including container break bulk, RORO ships and conventional vessels.

Centralized management of the procurement process

In situations where large-scale procurement is required, such as at construction and building sites, SGL undertakes the entire process from supplier dispatch follow-up, shipment witnessing, transport and post-arrival inventory control.
Based on our track record in procurement management for various projects up to this point, such as luxury cruise ship building and power plant construction, we establish a “system of swift and timely supply” to sites that suits the project process.
Leaving logistics arrangements to SGL enables customers to focus on their core business.

Equipment relocation

When transferring equipment from Japan to overseas or between local corporations based overseas, coordination with multiple vendors and complicated procedures are needed from shipment from Japan or a third country and preparations for that shipment to local import customs clearance and the delivery, installation and start-up of the equipment.
In addition to providing international transport between ports or airports and the reasonable, waste-free transport of equipment, including inland transport, customs clearance and storage, SGL also offers value-added logistics services that include packaging suitable for transport and equipment dismantling and restoration (reassembly).
